Mission Statement
There are many 12-17 year old youth that are not as fortunate to receive help and support like I received. Hutchison Community Development Corporation was established in May 21, 2015 to be that bridge to lead 12-17 youth toward success. Our goal is to provide educational assistance, mentoring, life skills and encouragement.
About Me
As a child growing up on the East side of Detroit, I experienced life the hard way. I witnessed my mother involved in a verbal altercation and subsequently murdered. My maternal aunt became the legal guardian of me and my two younger sisters. With my aunt’s seven children and the three of us, it was extremely challenging. Fortunately, I was blessed to receive help and support from a very important person in my life. This person became a father figure to me and ultimately his family became my family. My life became easier and less challenging.
